Sometimes we care too much to the person we love that we almost tend to control the things beyond our control. Because we care, we always try to protect the person we love in all means. We always make it a point that no one will hurt them because you loved them. We always want the best for them. We always want them to be happy.
All things are good isn't it?
That's what love do - we always protect.
But have you ever thought when it is too much?
Even we only think the best for the people we loved, even our intention to protect them and keeping them away of being hurt is good, sometimes are actions is already beyond what we should do for them.
If you really care for the person let them be who they are. Don't try to control things for them. Don't push them if they don't want to. Let them express their own self naturally - when all things are set in place and when there's no more doubts.
Maybe as a friend of that person, you know him or her already that's why you just want to protect them. There's nothing wrong with that. I know you just care for that person - to the point that you can't stand to see them of being hurt. But we should be reminded that we are their friends not the controller of their lives. Remember that God has the only one can control the things here on earth.
Let God be GOD.
If you are afraid to see that person of being hurt and you already did what a friend must do, such as, giving advice, and yet they don't listen to you... don't be upset. It doesn't mean they ignoring your opinion and advises maybe there're things they saw that you didn't see and they can't explain it to you because it's a kind of thing that is indescribable and can only be felt.
Then if that's the case, it's already beyond your control. Don't try to control their feelings. You don't feel what they are feeling. Even if you say that you have already experienced what he or she is experiencing now, even if you think you know what's the best for them, you don't exactly understand it. It may be the same case but you don't know if it has the same purpose for their lives. Only God knows.
Maybe what is happening to your friend and to his or her situation is just part of God's plans for them. You already know that God's plan is always the best! So don't try to control the things and the situation for them. GOD IS IN CONTROL. God knows what He is doing. If you cannot understand the situation just trust God and believe that it is for their own good. Maybe it's just part of the process that what God's want them to accomplished first to bring them to His glory.
So again,
Let God be GOD.
And as a friend, the best thing you can do is to pray for them and for yourself also. Pray to the Father to help you to be a good friend of your friends. Ask God to give you wisdom that can share to your friend when they need your thoughts and advice. Ask first the blessings of God. Then, pray for your friends that they will be protected by the Father in Heaven as they face the trials of their lives. That your friend may fulfill all the purpose of God through them, that they can stand whatever comes on their way with the guidance of God.
